McWilliams & Walden Inc. is proud to partner with Valley CAN’s Tune In & Tune Up Program to help improve air quality in the San Joaquin Valley — including Bakersfield, Kern County,
Fresno County, Tulare County, Kings County, Merced County, and surrounding Valley communities.
This FREE emissions testing program helps drivers who suspect their vehicle may have smog, emissions, or check-engine related problems. If your car does not pass the emissions screening, you will receive a $500 smog repair voucher that can be used at a local STAR-certified smog repair shop to help cover diagnostics, repairs, smog certification, and required emissions work.
This program is designed to help everyday drivers fix smog-related issues affordably — keeping vehicles on the road, improving fuel efficiency, reducing pollution, and helping keep California air cleaner.

How to Participate
You have two easy options to receive free emissions testing:
1) Attend an In-Person Tune In & Tune Up Event
Bring your vehicle to a Valley CAN event
They will perform a free emissions test
If the car fails, you receive a $500 voucher for smog repairs & certification at a STAR-certified shop

2) Remote / By-Phone Option
Call to schedule a free emissions test at a participating shop near you
If your vehicle fails → you receive a $500 smog repair voucher
If your vehicle passes → you receive a free smog certificate
